úzios' charm and beauty go a long way back. Since Brigitte Bardot chose Búzios to spend some time in the 60's, the city has been receiving distinguished guests ever since. Brought by her Brazilian boyfriend Bob Zagury in '64, here Brigitte - the most famous movie star of the time - rediscovered her joy of living, finding a hideout from reporters and photographers.

"Florinda thought he was kind of sad and asked me if I could take him to Búzios" - tells Renata Dechamps, referring to her friend Florinda Bulcão, the Brazilian artist and model, who was famous in Italy. That's how in 1976, Mick Jagger, one of the Rolling Stones, ended up at Canto Beach, playing the guitar and singing to a group of boys and girls - amongst which were Alexia, Renata's daughter, as well as Olívia Guimarães, the photographer, Noelza's daughter, today a professional working for TV Globo, who took the pictures using a small instamatic camera, while he sang at the beach house at Canto Beach. "He was in Rio resting with his wife - at the time Bianca - and with their small daughter and a nanny". "Bianca had to travel to Europe, and Florinda invited me and Jagger, who was already very famous at the time, to Búzios. We got a limousine with a driver and spent at least seven hours on the road" - remembers Renata. "It was fantastic, because from being a bit angry in Rio, he started showing his real self during the trip. We stopped at bars, drank some caipirinhas, and I think it was the first time Búzios had seen a limousine, with a driver wearing a cap and all, driving around Búzios' dirt roads. Jagger was very friendly. He was about 25 at the time and the local youth gathered around him, making for a great time".
