The city has an
architectural style of its own, where no buildings can exceed 2 stories, thanks to a 1979 law.
The known Buzios
construction style can be seen in several summer homes and even in the businesses in general, rich in rustic and crafts material, mainly based on the use of wood.
Much of the city's architectural beauty is due to famous Buzios architects like Octávio Raja Gabaglia and Hélio Pellegrino. Some examples of this style can be seen in the City Entrance, at the Don Juan, Pátio Havana or Boom restaurants.
