First of all, let me introduce myself: I am Buzionauta - your Búzios Buddy! I wrote some tips for making your stay in Búzios as fun and pleasant as possible.

Some tips from your Búzios Buddy...

• If you have some ecotourist spirit, you must see the José Gonçalves and Olho de Boi beaches, which are surrounded by absolutely untouched vegetation of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest.

• When going to the Azeda beach (one of the most beautiful in Búzios), if you feel tired or are too lazy to hike the trail from the Ossos beach to Azeda beach (one of the prettiest in Búzios), you can take a water-taxi and ride comfortably in a mini-boat by sea for 2 minutes. The fare is U$1.50 per person.

• Búzios is an invitation to water sports: While you are here, learn a new sport. In Búzios you can find mini-courses for almost any sport, such as horseback riding, golf, windsurfing, laser sailing, surfing, diving, paddle and many more. But its OK if you don't want to do anything, it is vacation after all...

• Late in the afternoon, if you are driving, take a ride to the Brava, Olho de Boi and Forno beaches which have beautiful views of the cliffs and mountains around Búzios. If you rather, go to the Tartaruga beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

• For the night action and activity, arrive at Rua das Pedras around 11:00pm, where there are several bars, restaurants and live music shows. Later on, how about some dancing at one of the Búzios nightclubs& From december to February Búzios has a very active nightlife. In other periods, Búzios becomes a paradise for those who appreciate fine restaurants, arts and ecology.

• Casual summer clothes in natural fabrics like cotton are most appropriate. Don't forget dress clothes (still casual) for nightlife and fine dining.

• Help preserve the nature and beaches of Búzios. Take care of what is ours, this is the only planet we have.
