In Búzios, a natural ramp amid the Atlantic forest is the perfect spot for hang-gliders and paraglides to takeoff. When they jump boosted by the strong winds that blow in the region, the adventure seekers enjoy varied and privileged angles of the peninsula. At 180 meters, the ramp is the second highest point in the city and is inside the Environmental Reserve of the Emerências Mountains.
Landings take place on Tucuns beach, where windsocks mark the spot indicated. Flights can be performed year round, but the months of August and September should be avoided because of the strong winds that hit the area and impair free flying.
