The Via-Lagos

The stretch between Rio Bonito and São Pedro da Aldeia, which opened in December of 98 and is managed by grantee Via Lagos, reduced travel time from Rio to Búzios by at least 30 minutes. In addition, the road rid drivers of the annoying traffic jams during the summer and of the electronic radars of highway RJ-106, in Araruama and Iguaba. Over 80% of the route from Rio to Búzios is travelled in double lanes, which are well maintained and enable the drivers to travel at a good speed. The final leg of the journey, in simple lanes, is also in good condition.

// CAREFUL WITH THE GAS PEDAL
At the moment, at least five electronic radars (well marked) deserve attention along the highway. The first two are in the stretch between Manilha and Rio Bonito. The third is at the end of Via Lagos, right at the end of the double lanes stretch and right before São Pedro da Aldeia. The other two are located very close to the entrance of Búzios.
